Gordon Dick was born in 1971 and is a member of the Tseshaht First Nation which is affiliated with the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council.
Gordon grew up on the Tseshaht reserve in Port Alberni, and he was able to spend time with his grandparents Alan and Agnes Dick. Gordon learned his traditional values and a continuing respect for Nuu-chah-nulth culture from his grandparents. They always encourage his artistic talents.
Gordon engraves Westcoast Native art in gold, silver and copper. He creates work with gold appliqué, or with semi or precious stone inlay. Gordon makes both contemporary and traditional designs on his bracelets, broaches, earrings, pendants and rings with a unique sense of style.
